Genre: Adventure / Family / Fantasy
Director: Tim Butron
Main Actors: Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska
Rating: PG (Parent appropriate)
Length:108 minutes
IMDb Synopsis:
Alice, an unpretentious and individual 19-year-old, is betrothed to a dunce of an English nobleman. At her engagement party, she escapes the crowd to consider whether to go through with the marriage and falls down a hole in the garden after spotting an unusual rabbit. Arriving in a strange and surreal place called "Underland," she finds herself in a world that resembles the nightmares she had as a child, filled with talking animals, villainous queens and knights, and frumious bandersnatches. Alice realizes that she is there for a reason--to conquer the horrific Jabberwocky and restore the rightful queen to her throne.
First of all, I'd like to comment on how much of a FREAKING GENIUS Tim Burton is. Not to mention that when you pair Johnny Depp and Burton, you always get magic and a terribly fantastic film. I would gladley marry this creative and possibly drugged up man if he weren't much much older than I am and currently with the lovely Helena Bonham Carter.
Mia Wasikowska is a fabulous actress and she portrayed Alice Kingsley incredibly well. The wonder! The delight! I've no doubt that she was exactly what Tim wanted her to be. She's really cute and the dresses she wore were gorgeous.
Back to Tim Burton being a genius- DID YOU SEE THE MOVIE!? Oh my god the imagination (or drugs) that someone would need to think up such beautiful and colourful scenes.Everything about this movie was amazing. We give this movie... 90% ? I think my math is off. 98% seems more accurate.

Sherlock Holmes
Genre: Action/Mystery/Suspense
Director: Guy Ritchie
Main Actors: Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law, Rachel McAdams
Rating: PG-13 (Watch it with your parents? Sure, I did! Nothing overly embarassing in this.)
Length: 128 Minutes
IMDb Synopsis:
After finally catching serial killer and occult "sorcerer" Lord Blackwood, legendary sleuth Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. Watson can close yet another successful case. But when Blackwood mysteriously returns from the grave and resumes his killing spree, Holmes must take up the hunt once again. Contending with his partner's new fiancée and the dimwitted head of Scotland Yard, the dauntless detective must unravel the clues that will lead him into a twisted web of murder, deceit, and black magic - and the deadly embrace of temptress Irene Adler.
Once again we are starting by saying Robert Downey Jr, yum!!! 45 years old and still looks amazing :) As always he has his quick wit, hilarious comments, and sarcasm that leave us rolling on the floor. Rachel McAdams was very good in this, and even though she was practically the only actor who didn't have a british accent, you hardly noticed.
Costumes were gorgeous, perfect for the era, hair was nicely done as well. The action scenes were cool, for the first 2 minutes. Sometimes it seemed as though they dragged on forever, which drives me absolutely crazy. The scenery, especially the bridge scene, was so well done! The fights, the scenes with Irene Adler, and how Holmes sums everything up in the end = amazing. We give this movie an 85%
